Q. So how does this work?

Simply Soils delivers bulk materials- sand, stone, soil and mulch, for your landscaping or construction project. We service Perth suburbs proximate to our home area of Wangara. Our online pricing is fair and inclusive of delivery and GST.

Browse our website, choose your required material and quantity, select a delivery date, safely and securely make payment online: then on your chosen delivery date our tipper truck delivers your order direct to your door- easy and hassle free!

Q. Are you an agency or affiliated with any other garden centres?

Simply Soils is a totally independent and 100% owner operated business based in Wangara in Perth’s North. Nick is the man behind it all, so when you work with us you’re dealing with the business owner directly.

Q. Can I pickup?

Simply Soils delivers direct to your home or job-site, we unfortunately do not offer a pickup option.

Q. Can I ring through with an order or question?

Of Course, feel free to call or text Nick on 0434 291 240.

Online orders are our preferred method of booking because as an owner operated business we are on the road during business hours and finding time to make a booking can be a challenge. Text messages are always appreciated!

Q. When Can you deliver?

Simply Soils delivers Monday through Saturday. Standard lead time on a delivery is 1 working day, i.e order on Monday for delivery Wednesday. When booking a delivery online you are able to select your preferred date at the checkout. We recommend ordering material for the day before you need it, this ensures material is ready to go as soon as you or your trades are! If you have specific requirements regarding delivery timing or need something in a hurry, please don’t hesitate to give us a call.

Q. How much is delivery?

Delivery to suburbs that we service is included in our pricing! There is no extra charge to be added at checkout, what you see is what you pay.

Q. What is the minimum order quantity?

Our minimum order quantity is ordinarily 1m3. This is equivalent to 1.5 trailer loads at your local garden centre. Minimum order quantity may vary for materials outside of our main range.

Q. Can you deliver in part cubic metres?

Yes, we can usually deliver in half cubic metres although you will need to speak with Nick to arrange as this can’t be booked online for logistical reasons. It is a good rule of thumb to not cut it too fine when ordering material as running short by a small amount is often a major headache! We’d recommend rounding up to the nearest half cubic metre if you’re in between!

Q. What Suburbs do you service?

Our home turf is Wangara in Perth’s North and we service suburbs within a reasonable proximity. You can view our full list of delivery suburbs here!

Q. How will my order be delivered?

At Simply Soils we deliver material loose and in bulk using our tipper truck. When we arrive onsite we reverse up to the drop site, and utilising a hydraulic hoist the truck body raises in the air and the material discharges from the back of the truck. Delivering in bulk is the most cost effective and simple way to get material to your home or worksite.

Q. What are the access requirements for your truck?

Our truck needs a minimum of 3m width and 5m overhead clearance to tip. Feel free to get in touch with Nick and text through a photo of your drop location if you are unsure about access.

Q. Can you deliver more than one material in one load?

We can only transport one material at a time, if multiple materials are required we will have to make multiple trips.

Q. What area will the pile of tipped material cover?

Different quantities and materials will have a different footprint, but generally the pile will spread wider than long. To be safe for any size load allow an area of 4mx4m.

Q. Where onsite do you deliver to?

We follow your instructions on delivery and can deliver to a location of your choosing provided:

It is on your property- can’t be on the neighbours or in a right of way

Has safe access- hard level ground and no overhead instructions

Isn’t on a slope- this is unsafe for tipping

The most common locations chosen are either- on the driveway, on the front lawn or on the verge/nature strip.

Q. Should we put out a tarp?

It’s a great idea- it helps a great deal with cleanup and clearly marks the drop location. Make sure to weigh it down though so it doesn’t blow away!

Q. How many trailer loads/scoops in a cubic metre?

In standard WA soil yard shoptalk a “trailer load” is .66 of a cubic metre and a “scoop” is half a “trailer load” at .33 of a cubic metre.

So 1m3 = 1.5 trailer loads or 3 scoops.

Q. Can you calculate how much material we need?

Sure! Feel free to email or text through your dimensions and we can help work it out!
